Jump This Train

So Where am I supposed to go now that all this has blown away?
I confess, I don't have a clue what I wanted you to say when I came here.
I was looking for some closure and a goodbye hug, or something.
But now I see that you're not happy to see me.
After all this time I'd hoped you'd be.

So I'll entertain myself until the next train leaves, and when it does I'll be inside.
You don't have to say anything to me.
Just let me go and I'll be alright.
I'll jump this train..

It's been several days since you've said anything,
And all the lines have grown cold like they used to be before we met.
But I guess it's best this way. I was never right for you.
Now I'm looking for things to fill the holes.
That's all there is anymore, anyway.

I'll sit by myself until the next train leaves, and when it does I'll be inside.
You've said more than enough by not saying anything.
Just let me go and I'll be alright.
I'll jump this train..

And if it's all the same, I'll keep the postcards where they're supposed to be-
Above the plastic rings, and the ticket, and my pillow case..
And I realize that you probably don't think the same of me,
But keep the book and I'll jump this train...
