It's 10 'til 6 and it's an Autumn day.
These are the kinds of things that make me think that I want to get Out of here.
Out on the road somewhere we could be free.
Just me and my best Friend.

About an hour from now, the sun will be nearly down,
And I know a place just off the interstate where we could stop to get something to drink.
Just me myself and my best Friend.

So let's not waste the day.
Despite the fact that there are reasons to stay,
I'd rather be somewhere far away from here.
And either way, things will be okay,
Because when I leave I'm not doing it alone (no),
I'll always have You near.

Then when the lights are out, I know the perfect town,
With a coffee shop who's crowd doesn't sleep.
And this time it's okay, because I'm not going there alone.
